Here are some ideas I have about how to use these tools to make learning more interesting and fun.
I often use both voice and video programs together to make strong presentations or show what I've learned. It's one of my favorite tools. It comes with great presentation templates and makes it easy to add videos and animations, which makes the material more interesting. Audacity and Capcut is what I like to use it's an open-source, free audio editor that works great for making podcasts or voiceovers sound great.
I'm using Screencast-O-Matic a lot right now to make video classes. It's great for recording my screen and talking at the same time, which is great for making lessons or explaining hard ideas. I've also been looking into Flipgrid. This tool lets students make short videos answering questions, which makes the learning environment more interactive and interesting.
After thinking about other tools, I would like to try Loom. You can compare it to Screencast-O-Matic, but this one is easier to use and works better with other apps. I'm considering trying out Anchor for podcasts when it comes to audio. It's simple to use, and your show can be shared on many platforms, which could help you reach more people.
People who haven't used audio or screencasting tools for feedforward should really try them out. You should use screencasting tools like Loom or Screencast-O-Matic. You don't have to write comments on the student's work; you can record yourself going over it and pointing out what's good and what needs work as you go. This method feels more personal and may work better than regular comments.
Using screencasting in my classroom has changed everything for me. It lets me give more specific and personalized comments that students can look over again. Additionally, it works well for showing complicated steps or processes that are hard to describe in words alone.
I would like to know more about the tools you use and how they change how you teach and learn. Let us share what we know and help each other get the most out of these tech tools!
