EDLD 5302/5305

Upon reflection, I have decided to self-assess my contributions to my recent educational experiences and the learning community with a score of 44.5 for Disruptive Innovation (5305) and a 89 in Concepts of Educational Technology (5302). These scores indicates a strong commitment to my personal growth and active participation with my peers, while also recognizing a slight absence in one of the supporting contributions.
Evaluation of Successes
During the course, I have consistently completed all assigned readings, videos, and supporting resources. I have been actively involved with the material. I've consistently scored an A in all assignments leading to a deep understanding of the subject that I have consistently utilized in my coursework and discussions. I have successfully followed to all course activity deadlines, showcasing my competent time management skills and commitment to my academic responsibilities. The Blackboard discussion forums are for the 5302 and 5305 courses. I shared resources and offered feedback to group members on the Blackboard discussion forum as well as attended all Zoom meetings and watched weekly recordings to enhance my learning. My contributions were aimed at strengthening our collective understanding and enhancing the learning experience for everyone involved.
Reviewing assignments has been an essential component of my learning journey. By engaging in reflection and receiving feedback, I have enhanced my thought process and elevated the quality of my submissions. I carefully reviewed each revision with a critical perspective to ensure that my work not only fulfilled the requirements but also showed a higher level of analysis and understanding.
Contribution to the Core Collaboration Group
Collaborating with my core group consisting of Marche, Anna, Maria, and Amy has greatly enhanced my learning. Our joint endeavors have been defined by mutual respect and a common dedication to academic superiority. Providing feedforward on each other's implementation plans and collaborating on discussion posts, contributing to the development of a more robust learning community and improving our overall performance.
Areas for Improvement
While I have assumed leadership roles in my small group, I acknowledge the need to enhance my participation in the larger course forums. Although I have been active, my posts could be improved by incorporating more comprehensive and in-depth thinking backed by thorough research and giving a reply to multiple discussion posts as opposed to just one reply here and there. In upcoming courses, I plan to concentrate on this area to improve my learning and make a more substantial contribution to my peers' intellectual development.
Contributions Support
I have posted in a timely manner, enabling meaningful exchanges and discussions. My goal was to post at least by Wednesday of each week. I have made an effort to substantiate my contributions with research by citing sources in APA format to validate my ideas and uphold academic integrity. The Blackboard discussion forums in 5302 and 5305 courses, I shared resources and offered feedback to group members. I attended all Zoom meetings and watched weekly recordings to enhance my learning. My contributions were aimed at strengthening our collective understanding and enhancing the learning experience for everyone involved. Despite these efforts, I still need to fulfill one supporting contribution completely. My leadership in the course could have had a greater impact within the broader context. In the future, I plan to be more proactive by initiating discussions and leading group activities in upcoming courses.
Impact on Connecting Ideas from Two Courses
As an accelerated ADL student, I have taken two courses simultaneously, allowing me to merge ideas and enhance my comprehension of linked concepts. I have gained a more comprehensive viewpoint through actively participating in collaborations that connect the two subjects. Developing a growth mindset to use information from one course to improve and strengthen my performance in the other. The result has been a comprehensive learning experience, where the integration of ideas has resulted in more profound discussions and more creative problem-solving strategies.
In Concepts of Educational Tech, 5302, My learning networks have developed significantly due to the effectiveness of collaboration and community in the learning process. I have actively pursued relationships with peers, mentors, and professionals who have similar academic interests and career objectives. The networks have offered me support, inspiration, and an abundance of resources that go beyond the classroom.
In Disruptive Innovation in Tech, 5305, when developing my implementation plan I provided and received feedforward and support from my collaborative learning groups. One comment that I received was from my group member Maria. She said, "Very well written and well organized. I have a couple of suggestions. Under Research, add a summary of your Lit review that supports your proposal. Under Proposal, provide a summary of your proposal with its goals and objectives. You are very clear on what you going to do with the proposal but I think adding a summary of it would make it more complete. Overall, it's well done." Receiving such valuable feedforward aided in my ability to write a comprehensive implementation plan.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my contributions have significantly influenced both my learning process and the learning community. I have shown strong commitment and accountability in my primary collaborative team, fulfilling almost all essential and supplementary tasks. In the future, I am dedicated to improving my leadership position in the course forums and beyond.
