Hey friends, let's chat about a little life shake-up I've just embarked on! 🎉 So, here’s the scoop: I recently resigned from my role as a math interventionist. Yep, I packed up my manipulatives and said goodbye to the classroom. Why? Well, my husband and I are relocating to a different state, and I'm on a mission to support his dreams. 💼✨
Now, don't get me wrong—I adored my students. Before my role as an interventionist and math specialist, I dedicated over 10 years to being an educator, certified to teach early childhood to 6th grade, with a bachelor's in education and I am currently working on my Master of Education. I've taught classrooms of students from 18 months to 13 years old. I also facilitated a multitude of professional learning experiences for colleagues and adult learners in Louisiana and in Texas! However, I'm extremely excited to get the chance to homeschool my 3 kids, 6th grade, kindergarten, and 2-year-old. One of my strongest suits in the classroom was differentiation, and I'm excited to differentiate project-based activities! There's this wild feeling of freedom now, like I've just slipped out of the shackles of the classroom. It's exhilarating and, okay, a bit terrifying. 😅
So, what’s next? Enter: My dreams. I’m diving into the world of entrepreneurship! I’ve always wanted to start an education company, something that combines my passion for teaching with the flexibility to homeschool or help others do it. It’s a chance to rethink how we learn and teach, and I’m all in. So here I am, embracing the unknown, ready to explore and innovate outside the traditional classroom walls with www.shuttleupandteach.com!
Yeah, I’m nervous. Who wouldn’t be, right? But there’s also this bubbling excitement beneath the nerves. It’s like stepping onto a roller coaster—there’s that moment when you’re not sure if you should laugh or scream. But hey, isn’t that what following your dreams is all about? 🚀 Follow my journey! Wish me luck, and maybe send coffee. ☕️😬
